History
St. Paul's English High School was formed in the year 1942 and started in the rooms of St. Patrick's Cathedral in Saddar, Karachi, it's founder Fr. Joseph felt that the school was needed to be put in a place where students would feel more at school rather than Church. Resulting in later moving to a location opposite PNS Dilawar in Saddar, Karachi.
The school was officially registered as a high school on 12th July 1971. Allowing students to appear in the Karachi Board Examinations. Teachers were appointed and students were admitted into this newly born section under the careful eye of Fr. Joe Paul, the now Principal of St. Patrick's High School.
The students shone in their first year of giving the BSEK examinations. This increased the number of admissions and sections (classes) drastically.
Till Present day, the school has developed and grown into a vast network of students all hard-working and having a high capacity to think and thrive and have a certain thirst for knowledge. Although the healthy rivalry between the O Levels and Matric Section does exist. It's just another way of character building and confidence developing.
The O Levels Section was developed soon after the Upper Secondary section was. Though the idea behind it was present in the late 60's it was dropped due to the growing importance of Matriculation at the time. Students were given a choice to choose between the two sections in class five. This raised the calibre of the students even more.
The schools comprises three sections, an English-medium ("St Paul's English High School" or 'section A') operating in the mornings, another (again "St Paul's English High School" or 'section B') in the afternoons, which also operates in the morning but in a separate campus. The morning classes cater to students enrolled for both matriculation and O levels the afternoon class is also enrolled for both matriculation and O levels.
At the end 1992 and the start 1993 right after the Pakistan won world cup. Imran Khan came to our school to launch SKMH [Shoukat Khanum Memorial Hospital] fund-raising activity. At that time the school's Father was Max Rodriges , now he is the Bishop in Hyderabad.
